Award Winning Chocolatier

A Fresh & Unique Approach to Artisan Chocolate

Angela’s chocolate creations are a celebration of local food. Her unique talent for finding perfectly balanced local flavours is guided by the local growing season and what is currently available at its peak of freshness. This approach has inspired some incredibly diverse chocolate creations that have won both Canadian and International awards.

With elegance and skill, Angela combines unique local ingredients with the finest ethically-sourced chocolate from across the globe. It all started with locally-produced saffron and chocolate (pictured here). This was the ‘trigger’ for Angela that helped her envision the diverse flavours possible from her local area.

Through a combination of art and science, Angela creates sophisticated new flavour profiles with chocolate. She received her formal training at the world-renowned Chocolate Academy in Montreal and various apprenticeships, most notably with Warren Eley of Naked Chocolate. This training integrated with talent and vision have resulted in truly innovative chocolate that will both delight and challenge your taste buds.

Westben Dare to Share

Born of a somewhat mad idea in the spring of 2016, sparked by a very supportive friend, the men of True Saffron Martin Albert and Eric Charbonneau were sparked to learn all they could about saffron and its culture and ultimately plant 50,00 bulbs for an imminent Fall harvest. After a successful harvest, Martin & Eric reached out to the culinary community and built incredible connections around their product and the rest is history!

Christopher Cameron

Author & Opera Singer

Christopher Cameron enjoyed a long and successful career as a professional opera singer. Chris performed on opera and concert stages across Canada. In 1989, he left full-time singing and began a career in the world of finance and technology, from which he retired in 2013. He spent the final years of his singing career as a member of the Canadian Opera Company Chorus, leaving in 2009, thirty-three years after he first started with the company. Several years ago he began his third career, as a freelance writer and certified copy editor.

His first book, a witty, irreverent memoir of his singing years, Dr. Bartolo’s Umbrella and Other Tales from my Surprising Operatic Life (Seraphim Editions), was published in 2017.

Chris lived in Toronto for most of his life until he and his wife Karen relocated to the banks of the Trent River in Campbellford in June 2017. He often wonders why it took him so long to make the move.

Chris is also an ultramarathon runner, long-distance cyclist, and seven-time Ironman triathlon finisher. He blogs about reading, writing, and athletics on his website.
