Bringing culture and nature together in perfect harmony, the magnificent 400–seat timber-frame barn opens onto a lush meadow, surrounded by the gently rolling hills of Northumberland County. The stage hosts an incredible array of renowned Canadian and international artists, from full symphony orchestras & choruses to chamber music and soloists. The best in class in a relaxed country setting!

Westben presents Concerts at The Barn every summer from early June to early August. The festival presents music ranging from Bach to Broadway, World Music and Jazz. There are wide-ranging matinee and evening concerts including opera, orchestral, chamber, choral to broadway, jazz, celtic and world music.  Themed concerts often offer delicious pre ordered food made by various caterers.  Wine and Beer are offered at weekend concerts and the Concession Stand is always open at concerts.  Windswept Picnics are available for pre order as well as Tapas (July 4-7), On site Barbecue (July 12), Ploughman's Lunch (July 13), High Tea (July 14) and Buono Apetito (August 4).  All food must be pre ordered a minimum of 24 hours ahead from the Westben Box Office 1-705-653-5508 or toll free 1-877-883-5777

Several Fundraising events include musical wine-tasting and Viennese balls and in 2013 Viva Italia! . At Christmas, The Barn presents a seasonal celebration to warm the heart!

In addition, Westben’s year-round activities include educational initiatives such as in-school presentations, master classes and the 80-member Westben Festival, Teen, Youth and B Natural Choruses, perform at various venues throughout the year.

Co–founders, Brian Finley (Artistic Director) and Donna Bennett (Marketing Director) and Teresa Castonguay (Business and Development Coordinator) are the full time staff with Valerie Przybilla is the part time Bookkeeper.  The team is excited to welcome at least 3 summer students to the team Katelyn Petersen, Haley McTagaart, Chantal Dignard and April Watson.  The 12-member Board of Directors heads up a huge support team of volunteers, sponsors, donors and members. Westben also appreciates the support from all levels of government and several foundations.
