Canadian cultural icon, comedienne, and social activist, Mary Walsh is known for an array of comic gems including popular characters from Dancing With Rage, CODCO and This Hour Has 22 Minutes, along with up-to-the-minute local political satire.

Joel Plaskett
SATURDAY, JULY 9TH AT 7:00 PM – ON WILLOW HILL
2018 East Coast Music Award winner as Songwriter of the Year, Joel Plaskett has stacks of other awards and nominations from the Junos, Canadian Folk Awards, the Polaris Award, CBC and the East Coast Music Awards. From Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Joel has sold out clubs and concert halls from one side of the country to the other.

Late Night Intimacies - Brian Finley

Complete with a chorus of crickets, Westben’s Artistic Director, Brian Finley shares his own newly created Intimacies for Solo Piano along with favourites of Chopin in a late-night soirée of romantic piano music.

Queer Songbook Orchestra
SUNDAY, JULY 10TH AT 2:00 PM – AT THE BARN
The Queer Songbook Orchestra (QSO) is a Toronto-based 13-piece chamber pop ensemble utilizing story and song to express, honour, and elevate the 2SLGBTQ+ experience. The carefully curated afternoon takes the audience on a journey through the struggle, vulnerability, and joy of queer and trans life. A highly collaborative project, the QSO has toured extensively across Canada working with 200+ collaborators to bring these experiences to the stage.

Sarah Lewis
SUNDAY, JULY 10TH AT 8:00 PM – SPOKEN WORD AROUND THE CAMPFIRE
Join Peterborough’s first Poet Laureate around the Westben Campfire. Renowned as a spoken word artist, Sarah is an Anishnaabe Kwe (Ojibwe/Cree) from Curve Lake First Nation, Ontario. She is a mother, social justice activist, performer, community organizer, artist, dreamer, and a curious spirit in pursuit of answers about the universe. Her stories highlight the struggles and more importantly the resiliency within Indigenous communities.
