Well-remembered for his riveting portrayal of Pilate in St. John’s United Church’s 1997 production of Jesus Christ Superstar, Tom Sharpe has also preformed many lead roles at Westben. Others include the World Premiere and Premiere Recording of the Tenor Soloist in Brian Finley’s Requiem for a Millennium, and the creation of the role of Tim in Brian Finley’s SAMSON. Tom is a frequent performer throughout his community appearing on a number of fundraising concerts over the years with his brother Blaine and in many memorable musical presentations with music director Barb Hobart at St. John’s in Campbellford. He continues his vocal studies with Bruce Kelly. He has composed a song cycle called Voices in the Wilderness with arrangements by Andy Thompson, and the two are currently working on a video, which is soon to be released! Tom is a part-owner of Sharpe’s food market, a generous, long-time a cherished sponsor of Westben.
