CHICK REID Graduating from Queen's University in the seventies, Chick Reid is entering her 30th year as a Canadian theatre professional. Her career includes performing in regional theatres nationwide and the U.S. Chick is a seasoned veteran of classical work, having played major roles for eight seasons at the Stratford Festival of Canada (including being an Associate Artist for two seasons), four seasons at the Shaw Festival and having been a core acting member for four seasons at Theatre Plus Toronto. Other notable appearances include the Stratford production of Much Ado About Nothing on Broadway, and Shaws Heartbreak House for the Actors Theater of Louisville, Kentucky. Chick is deeply committed to the development of new plays, working with some of Canadas most acclaimed playwrights, such as Judith Thompson and Anton Piatorgorzky. Chick is proud to have been a member of good standing of Canadian Actors Equity and Association for 28 years and also belongs to the Ontario College of Teachers. Chick lives on a farm with her husband, Tom McCamus, and breeds Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers.
